LOCATION - RAŽANJ

Ražanj is a small, quiet fishing village by a picturesque bay in the north of Central Dalmatia, nestled in an undulating landscape between pine and olive groves.

Ražanj is very conveniently located:

12 km south of Rogoznica (also in low season shops, bars, restaurants).
The centre of Split (UNESCO) with its historical monuments is about 50 km away, Trogir (UNESCO) is 26 km away and another magical place – Primosten – is only 18 km away, this time to the north.

Split Airport

is only 32 km away, the advantage is the location north of the city, so there is no need to pass through Split on the way to Razanj.

Beaches

are mostly concrete slabs seted in a rocky shoreline and several pebble beaches with slow entry into the water. Even in high season, the beaches are not crowded and there is a place for everyone.

The village is divided into several parts

Uvala Luka with a small bay is at the beginning, followed by the villa quarter Ljoljinica (where our Villa Kata and Villa Dario are located), Varos with a long town beach and Mezaroca with the centre and a small harbour.

The peaceful fishing village of Ražanj, 32 km from Split airport

Center of Ražanj:

850m by road, 1200m along the coast.

On a small square you will find:

  • store
  • cafe
  • four restaurants with a wide range of cuisine
  • ATM
  • the fifth restaurant – Pizza Spagetti Bono – is 50 m further towards the sea.
  • turist center
  • currency exchange
  • shop with things for swimming – water shoes, etc.
  • boat rental stand with boat trips.

Nearest restaurants and shop

from Villa Kata i Villa Dario is only 70/80m, right by the sea (open seasonally).

Everything you need in the off-season can be found in Rogoznica, which is only 12 km away – two large supermarkets open all year round, restaurants and cafes, etc.

Excursions in the location

The pine-covered peninsulas near the village are ideal for hiking – the chapel of Punta Planka (3 km) is a popular destination, the first stop on Movar is the Movar fortress and then church of St. Antonin (3 km).

Another small circuit is a walk along the beach to Uvala Luka and from there along the path between the olive groves back to Ražanje (3.5 km).

The perfection of this charming place is rounded off by the cycle paths that start right in the village and weave through the whole area. The landscape here is undulating, not too hilly, and even less skilled cyclists can enjoy a relaxing bike ride.
